Description
Onboard systems often rely on multiple batteries to independently power 12 or 24-volt consumers, requiring efficient and reliable charging solutions. Mastervolt offers a range of intelligent products designed to meet these needs, ensuring that batteries can be charged separately while minimizing energy loss. Their battery Isolators, for instance, efficiently divide charge current between batteries with minimal energy loss. The Charge Mate connects or disconnects two batteries when needed, while the Battery Watch monitors the condition of your batteries, doubling as a main switch if required. Mastervolt’s BI battery Isolators use diode technology, ensuring reliable current division. Although this technology results in a slight voltage drop (approximately 0.6 V), this is compensated for by adjusting the output voltage of the connected alternator or charger. Mastervolt’s chargers and Alpha Pro MB charge regulators automatically manage this compensation, making them ideal companions for these Isolators. The BI Isolators are not only compact and lightweight, with weights ranging from 580 to 1300 grams, but they are also highly durable. Constructed with corrosion-proof materials and aluminum heat sinks, they can withstand harsh marine conditions. The electronic components are fully encased in synthetic materials, and the diode splitters are molded for added protection. Installation is designed to be fast and straightforward, thanks to the synthetic end plates, solid bolt connections, and locking rings that make the process efficient for marine professionals. Mastervolt’s intelligent battery management solutions ensure optimal performance, longevity, and reliability for onboard systems, making them essential for any marine setup.
