TruDesign Certified Recessed Skin Fittings are engineered specifically for underwater applications and are manufactured to the highest standards in New Zealand. Designed for long-lasting performance, the fitting body and nut are injection moulded using a glass-reinforced nylon composite. This high-performance material is reinforced with high-modulus glass fibres, offering exceptional mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and impact resistance, while significantly reducing overall weight compared to traditional metallic fittings.

The recessed profile ensures a flush fit against the hull, reducing drag and providing a sleek, professional finish. Unlike metal alternatives, these fittings are not subject to corrosion or electrolysis, and they eliminate the need for electrical bonding—making them ideal for use in a wide range of marine environments.

Certified to ISO 9093:2021 by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) and type-approved by Bureau Veritas (excluding the ½” size), the TruDesign Recessed Skin Fittings also meet the ABYC H-27 500Lb static load test for sizes 1" through 3".Note: For compliance on the 1" size, the TruDesign ABYC Load Bearing Collar must be used.
