TruDesign Skin Fittings with Tails are precision-engineered for above-waterline marine plumbing applications, offering a high-performance alternative to traditional metal fittings. Manufactured in New Zealand, each fitting is moulded from a premium glass-reinforced nylon composite. The integration of high-strength, high-modulus glass fibres into the nylon base provides exceptional strength, stiffness, impact resistance, and dimensional stability—while offering a substantial weight reduction compared to metallic equivalents.

These fittings are designed to eliminate common issues associated with metal components, such as corrosion and the need for electrical bonding, ensuring a longer service life and reduced maintenance in marine environments.

Certified by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI), the TruDesign Skin Fittings with Tails (sizes ¾" and above) comply with ISO 9093:2021 – the global standard for small craft seacocks and through-hull fittings.

Please note: These fittings are not suitable for below-the-waterline installations. For submerged applications, TruDesign recommends the use of their Certified Threaded or Recessed Skin Fittings, as marine safety standards require a Ball Valve to be directly connected to the skin fitting.
